Avocado fans, your ship is coming in. Those new emojis we wrote about in June are FINALLY on the way!
While the update hasn't been given an official date for public iOS launch, the developer version of iOS 10.2 has shown the new emojis, which also include more female careers such as firefighter, judge (handy for your ambitious lawyer friends), astronaut, farmer and pilot.

Meme enthusiasts will also enjoy the gorilla emoji (hi Harambe!) and it's lovely to see male and female emojis in David Bowie makeup too.
There's also a great version of the shrug emoticon, which may finally mean goodbye to laboriously typing out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
And brilliantly, all the new emojis are available in five different combinations of skin tone and hair colour, although a redhead emoji doesn't appear to be on the cards yet *cough*.
