Free styling tips? YES PLEASE. These little nuggets of fashion know-how from pro stylist Anna Berkley on had us all nodding our heads in agreement. Watch and learn, people.
Firstly, Anna says it’s all about ratios. And picking the right silhouette for your individual proportions. Aiming to dress to balance out your torso to your legs can be way more effective than dressing to suit your ‘body type’.
Anna recommends her ‘towel trick’. Hold a towel horizontally to your feet and lift it until you find the part of your leg you feel comfortable wearing a hemline to and then try out looks with your hemline hitting this point.

Anna also says tucking your top into a high waist will make your outfit flow much better a la Holly Willoughby. She adds that it’s worth trying something longer than an ankle boot to elongate the legs; as if we needed another excuse to snap up this season’s must-have knee highs!
Never underestimate the power of a sleeve, says Anna. The stylist suggests opting for a top with a sleeve that finishes at your bustline for a more pulled together look. Who knew?
Rather than buy a whole new outfit, simple changes to how you wear your existing looks can seriously switch things up.
Adding a belt can change the proportions of an outfit completely. Just simply rolling up your sleeves can change the balance of an outfit and make it work, advises Anna.
Now excuse us, we’re off to experiment.
