18 dogs at polling stations to cheer you up on Election Day

Democracy! It's fun, helpful and CUTE AS HELL!

08 Jun 2017

It's here! Election Day, the most wonderful time of the year; when we get to exercise our democratic right to vote – half of Team GLAMOUR voted on their way to work this morning. We are KEEN! Hooray for democracy! – and when we get to spend the day glued to the #dogsatpollingstations hashtag on Twitter and Instagram.

People have been posting photos of their dogs (and sometimes other pets and animal onlookers) on social media for the past few years, to the extent that this year for the first time Twitter has added a little emoji to the hashtag which shows up each time you use it.

And here, to ease us into a day of glorious voting, are a selection of the best doggos and puppers (and plain old normal Count Dogulas) we've seen so far.

— Bailey (@MsBaileyButton)

A moment for Bailey, and all the other furious dogs who don't want to be poster children for #dogsatpollingstations. TOUGH LUCK, BAILEY, YOU'RE DOING YOUR CIVIC DUTY!
