Just one day after giving birth to her son, Evan Rachel Wood took to Twitter to thank Ricki Lake for inspiring her to have a natural home birth.
The talk show host's documentary, The Business of Being Born, looks at different birthing options available to women and strongly advocates natural home births.
"I have to say thank you @RickiLake for your inspiring documentary "the business of being born" I never knew I had a choice when it came to labor. It taught me so much & aided my decision in having a natural home birth which my son & I are now forever grateful for," the actress wrote.
Ricki replied to Wood by tweeting: "You are so welcome. Overjoyed to hear you had a positive birth experience & a beautiful son! :)#BOBB xo."
The child, born on 29 July, is the first for Wood and husband Jamie Bell, who married last autumn. Bell also shared the natural birthing experience to fans with a tweet:
"Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!"

The actress's rep confirmed to E! Online: "Evan Rachel Wood and her husband Jamie Bell are parents to a beautiful boy."
"Parents and baby are all doing well."
The pair tied the knot in a secret "small ceremony" last autumn after meeting on the set of the Green Day video Wake Me Up When September Ends. The pair marked their union with matching tattoos, only to split up a year later, in 2006. They reconciled after Wood ended her engagement to shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
