We're definitely on board with the idea that you're not meant to break up with someone via text, but thanks to Gwen Stefani we've decided it is OK to break the news of your pregnancy to your spouse via email, at least if you do it with the same good humour as the No Doubt singer.
Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show this week, Gavin Rossdale revealed he first found out Gwen was pregnant with youngest son Apollo while he was on tour with his band Bush.
"By the way, you had another kid. I was surprised," Howard said to the father of three. "I thought you were done."
"Me too," Gavin joked. "I got this email on the road, from Gwen, and the title was in capitals, 'LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO ME NOW.' I was like, 'What is this?' My blood pressure went through the roof. And I opened the e-mail, and it was the pregnancy stick.'"
And the singer went on to admit he also knows when the baby had been conceived: "I wasn't home that often, but I did go home for Father's Day. And that gives Father's Day a new meaning."
Apollo Bowie Flynn was born on 28 Febraury 2014, joining big brothers Zuma, 6 and Kingston, 8.

Gwen Stefani has called her youngest son Apollo a "miracle", saying that he was born as the result of her oldest child Kingston constantly praying for another sibling.
In an appearance on Late Night, Gwen joked: "He has a direct link to God, basically. He asked me, 'Mum, are you gonna have a baby? I want you to have a baby.'"
The 44-year-old No Doubt singer initially explained to her first two sons that the days of giving birth were done. "I was like, 'It's over,'" she said. "'We're not having any more. This is our family.'"
But that wasn't good enough for Kingston, who apparently every night closed his eyes, clasped his hands and prayed to God, saying "'Dear God, please let my mum have a baby. Please, God! Please let my mum have a baby!'"
And what happened next? "Four weeks later, I was pregnant!" Gwen said. "He prays for everything. 'Please, God, please let me have another cupcake… Yes!' He really believes."
We might ask to borrow Kingston so he can pray for some new handbags on our behalf...

Congratulations to Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, who welcomed their third child on Friday, 28 February.
The No Doubt front-woman and her rocker hubby have named their new son Apollo. The bouncing baby boy joins the couple's two other sons, Kingston (7) and Zuma (5). Meanwhile Gavin also has a daughter, Brit model Daisy Lowe (24), from a past fling with Pearl Lowe.
Gavin was every inch the proud dad as he announced the birth via Twitter, tweeting " welcome APOLLO BOWIE FLYNN ROSSDALE ❤❤❤ 2/28/14 ❤❤❤"
Loving the name, guys.

Gwen Stefani held her baby shower in LA over the weekend - and it sounds like it was the most A-list baby-themed bash Hollywood has seen in ages.
Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie and Kate Beckinsale were just some of Gwen's celebrity mates who made an appearance at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon- and they all arrived with armfuls of gifts for the No Doubt singer's baby boy.
It sounds like the little Stefani-Rossdale is going to be SERIOUSLY spoilt. Alba reportedly arrived with a "huge diaper cake made up of Honest skull diapers" and a "dinosaur storage bin full of toys, books and clothes," which she picked up at LA children's boutique Bel Bambini.
A source told E! News that "Other guests brought baby clothes from Chanel and Bonpoint" and "There were tons of gifts that were all wheeled out on a luggage cart and put in Gwen's car."
Not that it was all about the presents. We haven't been to that many baby showers in the UK, but this sounded like WAY more fun than a simple gift-giving for the mother-to-be. Us Weekly also reported that "People cheered as soon as she walked in" and "The private room was decked out in light blues and bouquets of white hydrangeas, a banner that said 'SWEET' and "guests were greeted with glasses of red or white wine."
Gwen took to Instagram to thank her manager for organising her shower, posting a picture of the delicious treats on offer, captioned "baby shower!!! #can't believe im pregs thanku Shelli Azoff for a beautiful #girlyday =blessed"
The singer announced the sex of her baby via Instagram back in January.

Gwen Stefani is expecting a baby boy, she revealed today.
The singer and L.A.M.B designer took to Instagram to reveal the happy news - and to confirm her pregnancy - which she hadn't done officially yet (although it had kind of been revealed by her growing and incredibly well-dressed baby bump).
Interestingly it was her first ever post on the social networking site (joining fellow Insta-newbie Jessica Simpson) - and it's certainly a way to make an entrance.
Her caption read "I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys"
Gwen and husband Gavin Rossdale already have two children - boys Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5.
Congrats to the happy couple!

Gwen Stefani is expecting her third child with husband Gavin Rossdale.
A source confirmed the happy news to US Weekly, saying: "It's very new and they just found out… They're excited!"
The two - who married in 2002 - are already parents to sons Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5. Meanwhile, in 2004 Rossdale learned that he is the father to model Daisy Lowe, 24, from his brief relationship with singer-turned-designer Pearl Lowe. News of the couple's imminent arrival comes after Stefani opened up about her desire to have more children last year.
The 43-year-old No Doubt front woman said: "I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn't really work out. So, I feel good with what we've got. Everything works out how it should. You can't plan anything, right? You can try."
