Believe it or not, Tinder is turning five in September. That's a lot of Super Likes. But let's face it, the "so, what do you do?" questions are as boring as a no-chemistry dinner date. So, we rounded up the toughest job interview questions – the ones designed to catch candidates out – and presented them to these lucky gents...
Hollie: Hey, Harry. How would your friends describe you in three words?
Harry: Snappy-dressing stud-muffin. You?
H: OK, great, can you talk me through your work experience?
Ha: I’m driven, hard-working and very rarely steal. I have references if you need them.
H: Can you teach me something in the next five minutes?
Ha: I don’t know about teaching, but I know fun facts. A group of frogs is called an army.
H: I see. And what’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
Ha: I’m a big risk-taker, let me think…
Ha: I’ve jumped out of a plane. I’ve swum in a crocodile-infested river. You get the gist.
Ha: I’m a maverick who plays by no rules but my own.
H: Impressive. How do you manage stress?
Ha: Depends. Booze, deep breaths and maybe crushing someone with my bare hands.
H: OK. If you won £1million tomorrow, what would you do with the money?
Ha: Buy a house and fill it with dogs… or just buy as many burritos as possible.
Ha: Did I pass?
Scott: Hey, Hollie.
Hollie: Hi, Scott, nice to meet you. Can you talk me through your work experience?
S: Nice to meet you, too. What would you like to know? Only asking as I’ve done quite a lot of random stuff, haha!
H: Just a brief outline of anything you think is relevant.
S: Haha, OK, I’ll try. I look after the best film cameras in the world, so I’ve been on various film shoots all over the place. I’ve worked on a lot of fashion shows for high-end brands. What exactly do you do?
H: Great, and how would your best friend describe you in three words?
S: Haha! Can I ask him please?
S: So my friend said “attention to detail”. How does that bode with you?
S: Hey, Hollie, much going on tonight?
S: Hiiii. We gonna talk again?
S: I could be more blunt if you’d prefer.
H: Hi, Scott, what’s your proudest achievement?
S: Matching with you.
H: If you were in charge for the day, what change would you make?
S: I’d make you my First Lady, then I’d find out what we know about life outside Earth.
Rob: Wow, Hollie, you got it going on, gurrrrl.
Hollie: Hi, Rob, nice to meet you. Can you teach me something I don’t know in the next five minutes?
R: As in a party trick, or a random fact? I’ll show you a good few party tricks but it would require meeting you in person, Hollie.
H: Let’s move on. What are your strongest skills?
R: Negotiation, conversation and attention to detail.
H: Can you talk me through your work experience?
R: Really? How come you wanna know, love?
H: I think that’s what we’re here for.
R: Why else would I be here? It’s not like I thought you were attractive or anything.
H: What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
R: Going on Nemesis at Alton Towers.
