Haven’t got much money to hand for the latest curling tool? Well, we’ve got you covered. Sort of.
Huda Kattan is claiming that using a water bottle is a match for the most high-tech curling tool and she took to social media to prove it.
Beauty mogul Huda took to Instagram to demo the technique, which saw her taking a Stanley knife to saw a hole into a water bottle.
These powerful hairdryers make at-home blowdrying a dream
She then placed a thick section of hair into her homemade styler and funnelled in hot air using a hairdryer, which, claims Huda, creates the perfect wave.
The video has had over 4m views and thousands of comments from beauty fans and followers who were left impressed with the hack.
Some people did, however, complain that their bottles melted due to the high temperature of the hairdryer so we recommend trying this out with caution.
The hack comes after Dyson took the beauty world by storm last month with their latest curler, the Air Wrap styler which uses air instead of heat to curl hair and was designed after six years of testing.
It means that your hair is never exposed to any extreme heat which is often the cause of hair damage, so you can curl without any guilt or fear for the state of your hair.
The dryer is built with technology such as a glass-based thermistor that measures the temperature up to 40 times per second. It quickly gained cult status and has since been heralded as a serious innovation in hair styling.
While Huda’s hack won’t give your hair the same protection, it’s definitely a quick-fix before we (hopefully) unwrap our Dyson on Christmas Day. Got that, Santa?
