Victoria Magrath, a.k.a , has established herself as one of Instagram's most-followed style stars and she's now our resident fashion columnist. Each fortnight, Victoria will be sharing her best style secrets, hacks and insider intel from the hottest events. In her third column, Victoria shares her spring shopping list, with the key items she'll be snapping up to look on trend this season.
If, like me, you get your daily fashion fix from scrolling through social media, you will have seen your favourite Instagrammers wearing the same cult items (that hot pink suit and those chunky white trainers) from the likes of Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. However, if you can't afford the designer brands but still want to jump on the trends, I've trawled the high street to discover where you can snap up the cult buys for less. Here are the pieces I think you will love that will help you emulate your favourite Instagram stars without breaking the bank.
The Pink Suit
I’ve noticed so many gorgeous suits all over my feed recently and I, for one, am the biggest lover of a tailored two-piece. I honestly think that pink is the suit colour of the season (so much so that I have just bought one for myself after seeing Cindy Crawford wearing the perfect set in the latest
that you need to feast your eyes on, too.
So long, bum bag! Hello, belt bag! Belt bags are back with a vengeance, and I can’t wait to buy one of my own this Spring. Gucci, Prada and Miu Miu have an assortment of beautiful belt bag designs to choose from, but the high street has a couple you’re going to love. The black pouch from is a little more expensive at £115, but with such a simple, elegant style, I think it’s worth the investment. Then there's the which comes complete with Gucci-esque lion heads. The best part? It's just £29.99.
Louis Vuitton just unveiled the LV Archlight Sneaker and made even the most die-hard stiletto fans total trainer converts. Paired with a cool pair of straight leg trousers or mom jeans, they do have that casual, chic charm about them. But, in honesty, the high street doesn’t seem to have caught onto the Dad trainer trend quite as fast. I did, however, manage to find a few lookalikes on the high street.
Zara, who we all know do duplicate versions of luxury accessories extremely well, have a version. This Zara pair are super chunky with that high dancer’s arch that we’ve seen over at LV. There's also this super-cool pair from , which come in white with patches of colour and a slightly higher tongue.
Cat Eye Sunglasses
Thin, almost cartoon-like sunglasses with a triangular feel to the lenses are everywhere right now. Want to nail the trend this summer? Wear them a little lower down your nose to get the look. I found the perfect pair, again from for an amazing £16, and another steal from for £18. Now there’s nothing stopping you from looking super chic in your tiny glasses.
