Jenna Lyons launches sunglasses and we want them all

If ever we're in need of wardrobe, we turn to pictures of J Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons. She has an innate ability of making you want everything she wears, which is why we're pleased to hear that she's designed her first range of sunglasses.

It seems inconceivable in this murky January that we'll ever need to wear sunglasses again, but spring will soon be upon us - thus giving us the excuse to invest in one of J Crew's five styles. We don't even care that it's raining outside, we want them all.

"Necessity is the mother of invention - and, more than anything we needed navy and neon sunglasses," Lyons told us. "But we just couldn't find them, so we decided to make our own."

The five styles are discreet in shape, but come in a range of colours - neons for the bold and tortoiseshell, black and navy for the more understated. It was important to Lyons to ensure that any detailing was kept discreet.

"We are big fans of inside details - not outside logos - especially on your face," continued Lyons. "A barn door hinge served as the inspiration for the collection's hinges. The main detailing is visible only from the inside - strong yet, understated."
