We're big fans of Jameela Jamil here at GLAMOUR HQ (especially, this writer right here - I mean have you seen her in 'The Good Place'? She's brilliant!) The actress, radio presenter and all-round awesome person is blatantly honest and hilarious on social media, but Jameela's latest posts are tackling a more serious and very important issue: society's obsession with women's weight.
After coming across an Instagram post that tried to estimate the weights of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Jameela took to her own social media to call out the "toxic bullsh*t" and brilliantly flip the conversation about weight:
Sharing a screengrab of her own Insta Stories, where instead of stepping on the balance Jameela weighed herself according to her self-worth:
"I weigh: Lovely relationship. Great friends. I laugh every day. I love my job. I make an honest living. I'm financially independent. I speak out for women's rights. I like my bingo wings. I like myself in spite of EVERYTHING I've been taught by the media to hate myself about. F*cking KG" - she wrote.
She also encouraged other women to share their weights, and thus started the very empowering thread of tweets:
YAAASS, Jameela! We're here for this!
So what do you weigh?
