James Franco has made another ambiguous statement about his sexuality, saying he's "a little bit gay".
He previously said he is gay in his art and "straight" in his life. Nope, we're not sure what that means either.
The actor says too much emphasis is placed on his sexuality by the media.
"There is a bit of overfocusing on my sexuality, both by the straight press and the gay press, and so the first question is why do they care?" he asked.
"Well, because I'm a celebrity, so I guess they care who I'm having sex with. But if your definition of gay and straight is who I sleep with, then I guess you could say I'm a gay cock tease. It's where my allegiance lies, where my sensibilities lie, how I define myself. Yeah, I'm a little gay, and there's a gay James."
On Wednesday 18 March 2015, we wrote...
Far from dispelling rumours, James Franco has confused his fans somewhat over his sexuality during a recent interview (with himself) for the March issue of Four Two Nine.
Confused? So are we.
The 36 year-old actor confronted rumours that he could be gay by admitting (to himself) his homosexuality in his 'art' but that he is straight in his 'life'.
Responding to his own question, Franco asked "Are you fucking gay or what?" To which he curiously replied: "Well, I like to think that I'm gay in my art and straight in my life. Although, I'm also gay in my life up to the point of intercourse, and then you could say I'm straight."
Thought-provoking James, please continue…
"So I guess it depends on how you define gay. If it means whom you have sex with, I guess I'm straight….In the twenties and thirties, they used to define homosexuality by how you acted and not by whom you slept with…Sailors would fuck guys all the time, but as long as they behaved in masculine ways, they weren't considered gay."
We're not sure if this has cleared up any speculation or simply fanned the flames but what we do know is that James Franco must have some fascinating chats when no one's home!
