Back in August of this year, Keira Knightley posed topless for Interview magazine.
Now, the British actress has revealed why she chose to go bare for the photographer, Patrick Demarchelier. Talking to The Times newspaper, Keira said: "I've had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it's paparazzi photographers or for film posters.
"That [shoot] was one of the ones where I said: 'OK, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch.' Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are."
Well said, Keira.
Keira, who graced the November issue of GLAMOUR, also said: "I think women's bodies are a battleground and photography is partly to blame. Our society is so photographic now, it becomes more difficult to see all of those different varieties of shape."

Here is Keira Knightley as you've never seen her before: topless, with her hair wet and not a Bend It Like Beckham football kit or Pirates Of The Caribbean bustle in sight. No, Keira has posed for the raunchy shots for .
In a rare twist, it was the 29-year-old actress who asked the questions - and Keira was interviewing the photographer of her shoot, the renowned Patrick Demarchelier.
Keira told Patrick: "You said something really interesting to me on the shoot: 'You have to relax your face, because that's what good movie acting is, a relaxed face. It's the same thing as having pictures taken.'"
Patrick replied: "The face is supposed to be relaxed", with Keira agreeing: "You're absolutely right. It's very funny, because no photographer has ever said that to me before and made the kind of connection between the two things."
In the unusual interview, Keira also revealed that she has spent her summer reading books to choose her next film. "What am I doing? I just bought a load of books that I'll read over the summer and hopefully choose another film based on that. I don't know if that'll happen, but it's quite a good way of working," she said.
