Entertainment Weekly asked Tina Fey, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert whether they'd be up for doing a Mean Girls sequel. Yes, we know there's one out on DVD as we speak, but we're talking about a proper Mean Girls reunion - with everyone back for round two. Here's what they said…
Tina Fey: "At the time, we did wanna start the conversation about the sequel and for whatever reason I was like, "No! We shouldn't do that!" Now I look back and I'm like "Why?" But now, no-it's too late now."
Lindsay Lohan: "Why can't we do a sequel? Of us all grown up. To work with everyone involved in Mean Girls again would be an honor. It was such a good experience. I think it would be really cool."
Rachel McAdams: "Oh God, I hadn't thought about that! Yeah, I'd totally be up for that. Anything that Tina is at the helm of, I'd be into."
Amanda Seyfried: "No. No, because you can't f*ck with that. You wouldn't do a sequel to Rosemary's Baby or any Woody Allen movie. You wouldn't do a sequel to The Shining. I can't believe I actually did compare Mean Girls to that- but, in its genre, it really is special."
Lacey Chabert: "I think it would have to be everyone involved again. I think Mark [Waters] would have to direct; Tina would certainly have to write it. If everyone would join again, I think they could make a movie. I think it's just hard when you make something that's very special and beloved-you don't want the follow up to be a let-down."

There was a lot of speculation that the Mean Girls cast reunited when the movie had its 10-year anniversary - especially after Lindsay Lohan Instagrammed a picture of herself with the creator of the movie, Tina Fey.
Well, it turns out they did celebrate the occasion by posing for Entertainment Weekly - Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried donned pretty dresses and discussed the movie that we hold so dearly.
Rachel McAdams revealed to EW: "Originally, I auditioned for Cady. Everyone was flipped around a little bit. I loved Regina-she seemed so deliciously wicked and borderline evil."
She added: "I was quite a bit older at the time-I was, like, 24 or 25. Mark said, 'I see Cady a little bit younger, but I think it makes sense if Regina kind of grew up a little too fast.'"
And what do they think the Plastics would be up to now?
"Karen would manage or own a store that sells really cool dog attire, like Swarovski dog collars and Halloween costumes for animals. She's probably really focused," said Amanda Seyfried.
LiLo has big dreams for her character, "Cady's with Oprah in Africa working at children's schools with a family, teaching girls to be nice to each other."
The ever-so-fetch Lacey Chabert reckons that her character Gretchen is "probably running the Toaster Strudel empire. She is probably married and has, like, seven babies right now. She and Jason worked it out. She has very big curly hair."
And how about the Queen B? Well, Rachel McAdams said: "Regina is a Real Housewife. She'd have too much time on her hands, for sure. She's probably found all her other Reginas."

Lindsay Lohan won't stop hinting at a Mean Girls reunion! The actress is currently hitting the West End in a version of David Mamet's Speed The Plow, but instead of talking about the new role, she's been sparking rumours of a sequel to the cult film.
"People really love the movie: how do you top that? I was with Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another Mean Girls" she told Time Out.
"Like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating. That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it."
Now, this actually sounds like a decent idea for a sequel. Even though Tina and most of the cast have acknowledged that a reunion would NEVER happen.
But recently Lindsay posted some pics of her and Tina hanging out, so maybe she *could* be persuaded? If not, STOP with the tantalizing rumours, Li-Lo, otherwise we'll never be able to move on.

Tina Fey and Lindsay Lohan have done a Mean Girls reunion! But sadly, not the 10 year anniversary remake the fans were hoping for.
In an Instagram photo that has since been deleted, Li-Lo put up a photo of her and the Mean Girls creator cuddling up, captioned "Lovely running into an inspiring, funny, beautiful old friend!!!! #tinafey".
Of course, this isn't the first time the pair have appeared together since the fetchest film of all time celebrated its 10 year anniversary. Lindsay and Tina were both on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show in February - which made everyone think a Mean Girls remake was on the cards.
However, Fey was quick to quash the rumours, telling Access Hollywood: "It's not another movie. At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings."
A tasty, but disappointing concept for fans of the cult film. Until those hot wings get made, we'll just have to settle with the odd reunion photo of the cast. And of course Lindsay will be appearing on stage over in the UK, performing in David Mamet's Speed-The-Plow, on September 24 at London's Playhouse Theatre.

This news is seriously un-fetch.
Tina Fey has killed off any hope of a Mean Girls follow-up film ever happening, after Lindsay Lohan hinted that Fey had approached her about a reunion movie on The Tonight Show.
"(There's) definitely not a movie," Fey told Access Hollywood. "It's just the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts. It's been 10 years. You can tell when you look at me it's been 10 years."
Now before we tell Tina that, quite frankly, she can't sit with us ever again, the film's creator did hint at some grool news - the Plastics, Mathletes and Too Gay To Function Damian will be reuniting - it just wouldn't be on screen:
"I saw (Lindsay) at the first episode of The Tonight Show. We did that bit with Jimmy, and I said to her, 'Oh, I think someone may call us about doing some kind of reunion because next month is the tenth anniversary of the movie.' And so really… if everyone's around we might try to do some kind of like panel discussion" She added: "But it's not like - it's not another movie. At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings."
With Lindsay's reality show and alleged "sex list" hitting headlines this week, a panel discussion would be all kinds of amazing. We'll be there in our pink shirts.

OK you can officially freak out now - Lindsay Lohan AND Tina Fey are hinting that a Mean Girls reunion is on the cards.
Yes, 10 years on since we decided that butter was a carb, fetch was never going to happen and learned that "Halloween was the one night of the year that a girl can dress like a slut, and no other girls can say anything about it", our beloved High School comedy is set to return to our screens.
Promoting her reality show Lindsay (click here for a trailer) on the Tonight Show, Lohan revealed to host Jimmy Fallon that when she was chatting backstage with Mean Girls creator Tina Fey a few weeks back, they spoke about doing some kind of reunion show. "This needs to happen" she said.
Obviously this got us pretty excited, but the next piece of news made us shout "You Go Glenn Coco!" at our computer screen.
TMZ are reporting that Fey has already been enlisting the former cast to reunite in a kind of comedy sketch or awards show skit - with many of the major cast members from Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) to "Too Gay to Function" Damian (Daniel Franzese) to Regina's Mum (Amy Poehler) agreeing to sign up. Which means a Mean Girls reunion could be on TV at some point this year!
