If you're a bit of an expert, you can also ski off-piste in Col Granier or Fogliettaz, and for ultimate thrill seekers there's the opportunity to try heli-skiing just over the border in Italy (where it's still legal). You'll be taken to the top of Archeboc in a helicopter and ski just over 2,000 metres back to Chalet Merlo. The dream, right?

The chalet itself is high-end, with beautiful rustic decor that will make you feel right at home. The open plan living/dining room is complete with colourful artwork, big leather sofas and a real log fire. This leads out to a private balcony with incredible alpine views.

But the real highlight has to be the outdoor jacuzzi in the grounds, where you can sit and look out at the mountains after a long day of skiing, whilst champagne is lowered down to you from the top floor.

Massages and even outdoor yoga sessions from the comfort of the chalet are also available, so it's impossible not to feel totally relaxed in your down time.

There are six double bedrooms available, which means a maximum of twelves guests can stay at one time and it would be perfect for both families with children, and groups of friends.

The team of staff will without a doubt make your trip. From the chefs creating gourmet three course meals, delicious canapés and freshly baked cakes, to the friendly hosts, and your private driver always on hand to take you to the slopes.

By the end of your stay, even the biggest beach lovers will become total ski converts and it's hard to resist booking unforgettable trips with Première Neige again and again.
