She may be 92 years old this year but the Queen is perennially polished - and now we know the secret behind her youthful look.
According to an anti-ageing expert, the Queen has one secret when it comes to maintaining her youth.
Stuart Miles, a former Blue Peter presenter who has developed a diet, skincare and exercise programme to turn back the clock, told that the Queen's hack for keeping her skin radiant is simply avoiding the sun.
He explained: "The Queen has incredible skin and this is mainly due to her lifelong avoidance of the sun's rays on her face.
The best makeup with SPF to protect and perfect skin
"When abroad on foreign trips she has always worn a hat or carried a parasol which has protected her skin from the effects of the sun."
It's all down to the Queen's taste in holiday, explains Stuart, who added: "She doesn’t partake in an annual sunshine holiday, preferring instead to spend her summers in Scotland. This has kept her skin as youthful as possible over the years."
While it leaves skin with a golden glow, it's no secret that the sun is super ageing on skin.
How to find an SPF that's right for your skin type
In fact, a study last year by the Johnson & Johnson's Skin Research Center found that a daily application of moisturiser with SPF 30 banished sun spots in over half of participants, while 40 per cent saw an improvement in skin texture.
Since the Queen has given the shade the royal seal of approval, we'll be investing in a sunhat for summer. Here are the best SPFs for your face to keep your skin damage-free...
