If you have Instagram and a penchant for mentally shopping as you scroll then you'll definitely have stumbled across Revolve.

The label is literally all over our Instagram feed right now and the most sartorially clued-up celebrities have sent sales soaring.

The coveted brand has a somewhat surprising story; it was founded by data scientists, Michael Mente and Mike Karanikolas in 2003 (yes, really!) who noticed fashion had evolved beyond having the words “Juicy” and “Abercrombie” plastered on every item of clothing. Instead, they were quick to note that the IT-girls of LA were wearing chic, high-end brands that weren’t available online.

Revolve allows local brands to sell their bespoke clothing online, setting them apart from the established brands found on ASOS and Net-a-Porter. Today they boast a huge celebrity following including Emily Ratajkowski, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen), over 4 billion social impressions, and £1 billion in sales - and we can see why!

The new AW18 collection ranges from provocative knee-high boots to chunky knits in deep reds and warm yellows, sophisticated duster coats in autumnal browns to vibrant mini-dresses showered with sequins and plunging necklines. Alongside the delicate lace bodysuits lurks those mythical high-waisted snakeskin pants that you’ve already liked on Instagram.

These are the clothes Instagram models wear whilst posting images of themselves feasting on french toast, posing with their passports, or laughing in photobooths at exclusive parties with the hashtag #RevolveAroundTheWorld.

A quick search of #RevolveAroundTheWorld returns an impressive 56.7k posts. Captions like “Sundays are for brunching x” describe stylish girls laughing with their turmeric lattes at the latest debonair brunch spot. Other posts show blurred snapshots taken at Gatsby-esque parties hosted by the brand.

This influencer-driven content shows us how much fun we can have whilst wearing Revolve clothing. It shares the same allure as Gossip Girl and Sex And The City, but this time the characters are real, and the clothes attainable - in fact, just a click away since their UK launch.
