Take That's first single as a trio, These Days, has gone straight to number one in the UK Official Singles Chart.

Congrats, boys!

Although we still miss Jason Orange more than words can say, we're so happy for the new band, made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, who beat Bob Geldof's Band Aid 30 by just 2,500 copies to score the top spot.

The trio told OfficialCharts.com: "We cannot believe it, we're really made-up and we can't thank everybody enough."

It's the band's first number one hit in six years after 2008's Greatest Day, so we're sure they are delighted.

Take That's seventh studio album III is out today - the same day as former bandmate Robbie releases his solo album, Under The Radar: Volume 1.

Let the battle commence!

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen (no Jason Orange - sob!) unveil the video for the new Take That single, These Days.

Scroll down to watch…

The single is the first release from their forthcoming album III, and is described as "a nod to the sound that defined their early years, an out-and-out feel good pop smash that isn't like anything they've produced since the 2006 reunion."

The new album - released on 1 December - is the band's seventh Take That studio album. However, III marks another poignant moment in the band's legacy thanks to Jason Orange leaving the band and leaving just three of the boys - hence the name.

The guys started writing tracks for this album at the beginning of the year with the blessing of Jason Orange who announced in a statement on Wednesday 24 September that after almost twenty-five years he was leaving the band. He went on to say that they had his "full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band".

Take That have had eight number one albums, 15 number one singles, sold over 30 million albums, won six Ivor Novellos, eight BRITs and sold over seven million concert tickets in their lifetime.
