The official trailer for season two of The Handmaid's Tale has been released and it's chilling AF.
As viewers of the show will know, the end of the popular first season saw main character Offred (played by Elizabeth Moss) captured by authorities, while her friend Moira escaped into Canada.
Judging by the teaser, the second season promises a wider look at the world beyond the oppressive dystopian land of Gilead. We're shown Offred gagged by officials, Moria in Canada, and what looks like the so-called feared colonies - contaminated and polluted regions of the former United States that the Republic of Gilead sends its prisoners to.
While Hulu has confirmed that the second season will return in the US on 25 April, Channel 4 has yet to announce the UK release date, although if last year is anything to go by, we reckon it'll be back on our screens in late May.
For those who aren't familiar with the show, it is set in a near future in which women are stripped of all rights. It's based on the 1985 novel of the same name by the aforementioned Margaret Atwood.
