GLAMOUR's Leanne Bayley went along to the London EDITION hotel to interview the strikingly beautiful Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, who is the face of Gucci Bamboo fragrance.
You might recognise Gal from the Fast & Furious franchise, or you might know her as being the chosen one who went up against Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, or you might just be really excited about the new Wonder Woman movie - out in June.
It's an extraordinary opportunity for the 5'10" Gadot, who was crowned Miss Israel in 2004 and later competed in the Miss Universe pageant.
As we can see from the Wonder Woman trailer - you obviously work out a lot, what kind of training do you do? And what motivates you?
I like to do kick boxing, and music has a lot of influence. I like crazy, I can literally go crazy boxing listening to The Matrix soundtrack - random I know, but it gets me into the mood!
You served as a soldier in the Israel Defence Services - how did that shape the woman here today?
I don't know how it affected me, but I think it gave me a lot of discipline and being able to give back to the country that you live in and doing something for society. After I was done with it I was happy.
Would you say that you're a confident woman?
Yes, pretty much. I'll tell you what. I'm like a horse, I don't look - I look at my path only. I don't look at what my colleague has, or what my friend has got. I'm focused on my way, and then you're just confident because whatever needs to happen, will happen - that's my motto. Whatever's mine will always be mine, and whatever's not mine, it will never be mine no matter what I do, role wise... so I'm a pretty confident woman, I have my moments, like any woman does.
I have a scent that I wear for when I'm feeling like a #GirlBoss, do you think Gucci Bamboo could be the perfect replacement?
Yes, definitely! It's just good, when it was out in stores, I literally went out and bought all the women in my life a bottle - because I think it's great, and I'll get more during Christmas - I think it's the perfect present for someone you love. For me, it's not about this [points to her face], but about the scent because you get into a room and people get to smell you. It makes such a good first impression, it's sophisticated but it's not too strong, it's sweet but not too sickly. It's exactly what a perfume should be.
It's important for you to be strong - especially for Wonder Woman - do you ever just want to veg out on the sofa?
Definitely! I love watching cooking shows, I can watch them for hours; I'm a good cook.
What would be on the menu?
A cheeseburger, French fries with a lot of ketchup and mayo! It's like the burger and the fries are just the excuse for the ketchup and mayo.
Was Miss Universe the perfect training for Hollywood?
I don't know, I was very young, I was 18/19 back then. I never thought I'd win the Miss Israel pageant - I just went because I had some time before my service in the Army. And in Israel it has really good prestige, so I thought it'd be cool to tell my grandkids that grandma was in the Miss Israel Pageant. I never thought that I'd win. And when I won it freaked me out so much I did everything in my powers during Miss Universe that they didn't pick me. So, I was the rebel one, I was the one that didn't listen ...
I love that your Instagram has a load of selfies with celebrities - it's just so normal. Who has made you the most starstruck?
That's a very good question... I have a thing with people that I don't really get star struck, I just see them as people. I feel at ease around them. I appreciate their art and their work and everything that I do but I don't get so starstruck. But maybe it had to be Shimon Peres, the former Israeli president.
And I saw an Instagram that you were posing with Cara Delevingne. Are you friends, do you get on?
I met her on Comic-Con in San Diego, she was fantastic, and I think she's so cool and so gorgeous. I like the way she rolls. And we talked for a little bit and took a selfie.
Who is the Wonder Woman in your life?
My mum, she just gave my sister and me really good, strong inner confidence and she gave us the ability to believe in ourselves and aspire to our dreams. She brags about us to all of her friends![ id="5FO8QKubcz"]
If your little girl grew up and said she wanted to be an actress, Miss Universe or an army soldier, which would you prefer?
