Let us let you in on a little secret: the return of slouch boots has us giddy with excitement.
The autumn winter shows saw the revival of a trend that first made the rounds in the noughties (think Nicole from The Simple Life) in buckled, tasseled, tan and suede versions. They've stuck around in discount stores and have been worn by your mum ever since. Well guess what? Slouch boots are back, and the results are quadruple as chic this time round.
We were enamoured with Saint Laurent's glitzy crystal-embellished pair, but with a price tag of £6,855 and a waiting list of thousands, getting in on the slouch boot trend seemed like a pipe dream for us normal folk. Well the excellent news is that the high street and other high end designers are dropping the slouchy autumn winter shoes in droves, meaning we can all get in on the nonchalant cowgirl vibe. But how do you wear them?
Their drooping nature might be hard for some to get their head around: too much material falling down your leg isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea. Do you wear them with jeans? Would they look weird with tights? What's wrong with a simple pair of over the knee boots?
Take cues from Kendall Jenner and match your slouch boots with a flippy dress (it doesn't need to be short - we think a midi dress would also look ace) or Bella Hadid who wore hers with an LDB for a night out.
