Fashion designer Donatella Versace has revealed in an interview this week that she will no longer use real fur in any of her designs.
Announcing the transition of her Versace brand to an entirely fur-free label during an interview with The Economist's , Donatella explained her reasoning behind the decision.
"Fur? I am out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion. It doesn’t feel right."
Previously one of the brand's staple materials, the announcement marks a hugely welcome and long-awaited move for the fashion powerhouse.

Donatella is the latest in a long line of designers and distributers who have dropped fur over the last 12 months.
Some of those who are also entirely fur-free include the likes of Michael Kors, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Armani, Net-a-Porter and - of course - Stella McCartney.
