Jessica Brown Findlay is a British actress best known for her role as Lady Sybil Crawley in ITV's Downton Abbey. Born in Berkshire, Jessica trained with the National Youth Ballet and spent a summer dancing with the Royal Opera House at the age of 15. After she had completed her GCSEs, she turned down numerous ballet school offers in order to attend the Arts Educational School. Whilst in her second year, she needed three operations on her ankle; however, the third operation went wrong and she was told she would never be able to dance again. She then went on to study a Fine Arts course at St Martin's, where she began acting classes. In 2010, she landed the role of Lady Sybil Crawley in on-going period drama Downton Abbey. In 2011, she starred in her first full-length film, Albatross.
