Joe Manganiello

Joseph Michael "Joe" Manganiello is a classically trained
American film and theatre actor. He holds a BFA in acting from the
Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Shortly after graduating, Joe
moved to Los Angeles where he quickly signed with a talent agent,
and just three days later, auditioned for the role of Peter Parker
in the Sam Raimi-directed film, Spider-Man. Joe didn't land the
lead role - but he did win the role of Eugene "Flash" Thompson,
Peter Parker's nemesis, playing opposite Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, and Willem Dafoe - not bad for
his first acting job out of college. Joe has since appeared on the
popular TV shows ER, How I Met Your Mother and One
Tree Hill
, among others. His breakout role, however, was that
of werewolf Alcide Herveaux in the hit HBO television series
True Blood. Joe trained for more than five months to get
in shape for the role and has since received both critical and
popular praise for his portrayal as well as various awards
including the 2011 Scream Awards for Breakout Performance - Male ,
a shared award for Best Ensemble, and he was voted Favorite
Pop-Culture Werewolf of All Time by the readers of
Entertainment Weekly.
