The daughter of former Blue Peter presenter, Janet Ellis, Sophie Ellis-Bextor began her music career in 1997, singing the lead vocals for Theaudience. But, it wasn't until she teamed up with DJ Spiller and released "Groovejet" that she became a household name. The club track went straight to No1 and was a finalist for Record Of The Year in 2000. Following this success, Sophie released her debut album, Read My Lips, which included "Take Me Home" and her biggest single "Murder On The Dancefloor". Sophie has released three more albums since with mixed success, but has also been concentrating on other projects. These include being the face of make-up brand Rimmel and working with her husband, The Feeling bassist Richard Jones, on a DJ club project called Modern Love. Sophie has been married to Richard for six years and they have three sons. In September 2013, it was announced that Sophie would compete in the eleventh series of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing partnered by professional dancer Brendan Cole.
