Ewan Mcgregor

Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor who has successfully made the transition from art house and indie to mainstream film projects. He first came to international attention in the Danny Boyle-directed film Trainspotting in 1996, and it remains one of his most iconic roles to date. However, McGregor has had numerous film successes, including Moulin Rouge! opposite Nicole Kidman and the Star War prequels, in which he played the young Obi-Wan Kenobi - a role originally made famous by the late Alec Guinness. McGregor was also offered the part of James Bond but turned it down, fearing he would be forever type cast. He and his French wife Eve, whom he married in 1995, predominantly reside in LA with their four children.
